Primary Source

Abby Detweiler was a third grade teacher in Medfield, Massachusetts, before coming to Primary Source. Her strong interest in world cultures drew her to the organization's mission. As Director of Program Operations, Abby works closely with Primary Source's partner schools and districts and manages operational aspects of programs. Abby received a B.A. in American Studies from Wellesley College and an M.A.T. in elementary education from Simmons College. She has traveled extensively in East Asia and has helped lead several Primary Source study tours to China. When not at work, Abby enjoys reading, cooking, singing in a community chorus, and spending time outdoors.
