International Education Week: November 16-20, 2009

The annual International Education Week (IEW) will take place from November 16-20, 2009. Primary Source is proud to participate in this unique opportunity to celebrate international education and exchange for all Americans with events and resources.

Here are a few ideas for how you can celebrate International Education Week in your classroom, home, or organization:

• Come to Primary Source's November 18 screening of Crossing Heaven's Border, a documentary film following the stories of North Korean refugees as they escape to freedom in South Korea.
• Take a Global IQ Quiz to test your knowledge of international geography and culture.
• Write a letter to your state or federal congressperson explaining why you feel international education is critical for today's students.
• Visit the Primary Source library in person or online to find resources for teaching about the world.
• Take a look at Primary Source's Global Education Resource Guide for resources on global issues and 21st century skills.
