The Library contains more than 7,000 items focusing on Primary Source's program areas and represents multiple disciplines. The Library is constantly expanding in response to the needs of participants in our programs. The collection includes:
A reference librarian is always available and many staff members have extensive knowledge about scholarly subjects and teaching. Please call ahead to plan a visit to our library so that you can make effective use of our staff and materials. Some of our materials are available online, including bibliographies and teacher-created lesson plans. You may also search the library catalog via the website. The Library is available for use by all educators, but a library card is necessary to borrow materials. Visit our Get a Library Card page to learn about and sign up for borrowing privileges. The Library is a comfortable space to work. We encourage teachers to hold departmental meetings and curriculum planning sessions in our Library as availability allows. Wireless Internet access is available, so feel free to bring a laptop with a wireless network card as you take advantage of Primary Source's collections. |
