Meet the Interns

Primary Source is delighted to have three interns working alongside our staff this summer. Read on for an introduction to each of our talented new hires.

kathrynsummer10Kathryn Rhine is currently assisting with Primary Source's fundraising efforts as a Development Intern. She is a rising junior at Boston University double majoring in International Management and English. Originally from Saline, Michigan, Kathryn is the Music Director for the a cappella group Aural Fixation at her university. In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys singing, theater, writing and reading. After finishing her education, Kathryn plans to find a career working in the field of economic development, with specific aspirations to work in Africa.

clairesummer10Claire Jensen, originally from Brookline, Massachusetts, is helping to run summer courses for teachers as a Program Intern at Primary Source. She is a rising junior at Bryn Mawr College majoring in East Asian Studies with a minor in Sociology. Claire became interested in global education when she participated in Brookline High School's China Exchange Program in 2006. It was this experience, she said, that led her to focus on East Asian studies in college. Claire is unsure about her future professional plans, but is confident that interning at Primary Source will give her a better idea of what she wants to do in the future.

laurensummer10Lauren Sirois, this summer's Marketing Intern, is supporting Primary Source’'s marketing and outreach initiatives. She is a rising senior at Tufts University majoring in Psychology with a double minor in History and Mass Communications and Media Studies. Originally from Amherst, New Hampshire, Lauren has recently completed two semesters abroad in Talloires, France and Gold Coast, Australia. Lauren has a passion for travelling and exploring new cultures and enjoys running and playing tennis in her spare time. After completing her undergraduate education, Lauren plans on working in the fields of marketing and public relations.
