Online Curriculum

Primary Source emphasizes curricular development in its educational programs. As a culminating project, teachers who participate in Primary Source programs for graduate credit or professional development points (PDPs) are invited to integrate content of the Primary Source course into their classrooms. The most exemplary of the resulting teacher-created curriculum units, available above, are edited by Primary Source staff and are available for circulation in the Clara Hicks Resource Library. Unique to Primary Source, these units support and inspire teachers at all levels.  These include teachers who are developing lesson plans in a content area for the first time and as well as seasoned teachers who are begninng to teach subject matter with which they have little familiarity.

Examples of the types of units and activities available in our library and are available for download. Please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information about a unit, or visit our library page to find out how you can acquire a library card and borrow units in a content area that interests you. You may also browse our library catalog and explore our many curriculum resources.

We have diverse curriculum units on China, many of them created as part of our China Source site for teachers, a joint project with the Harvard Asia Center. China Source is available to Primary Source Library card holders and teachers in partnership districts.
