Primary Source Welcomes New Board Member Matt Zalosh

New Primary Source board member Matt Zalosh is a portfolio manager at Boston Common Asset Management, a socially responsible investment firm. He manages domestic and international accounts and is responsible for investment research on the financial services and healthcare sectors.

Matt began his career at State Street Research and Management in Boston over 10 years ago. Matt received his BA, cum laude, in Economics and International Studies from Colby College, and has an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where he specialized in emerging markets and worked on development consulting projects in Mexico and Ecuador.

From an early age, Matt has been interested in foreign culture and history and his feelings have been fostered by two degrees in international studies, traveling, and briefly living abroad. "Education," writes Matt, "is the best way for our society to prosper in an increasingly global economy." Matt comes from a family of educators - both of his parents are teachers, and he believes that investing in the profession is the best way to improve the education system.
