Primary Source offers a rich variety of professional development programs for K-12 educators. With the aim of connecting teachers to people and cultures around the world, we provide learning opportunities in the content areas of Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and the United States.

Our core offerings include school-year seminars and intensive summer institutes. For interested and qualified teachers, we also lead study tours to different regions of the world, including China, Japan, and Ghana. Schools and school districts interested in customized programs within our content areas can take advantage of our in-district programs.

Educators from around New England and beyond participate in our programs. We maintain a formal partnership with 45 schools and school districts. Though our programs are open to all interested educators, individuals from partner districts enjoy priority registration and many other benefits.

The majority of our programs take place in or near our main office in Watertown, Massachusetts. Our second office in Bangor, Maine, offers a growing array of programs each year, and we have recently begun offering seminars in Rhode Island.
