| Primary Source book groups offer educators the opportunity to learn about world history and culture through literature. They provide a rich venue to explore one or more books on a given theme, such as memoir or historical fiction. During 5-6 meetings, or a special single session held from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Primary Source, participants share questions and reflections with others who have read the same material. Course faculty and guest speakers guide the conversation and encourage sharing about practical applications for using literature to illuminate student learning. Occasionally, the book group's featured author is invited to join the conversation. |
