Why Teach India? Caste and Its Controversies
Educators for Teaching India will hold "Why Teach India? Caste and Its Controversies," a one-day conference for secondary school teachers on Friday, April 30 at Harvard University. Hosted by Harvard's South Asia Initiative, the conference will feature keynote speaker Mridu Rai of Yale University and a variety of workshops related to the historical and contemporary role of the caste system in India.
