Primary Source Program Internship, 2021-2022

Established in 1989, Primary Source educates K-12 teachers about world histories, diverse cultures, and global issues. We offer face-to-face and online professional development courses, workshops, webinars, online resources, and study tours to educators in New England and around the country.

We are looking for a long-term intern to commit to work with us from June 2021 until May 2022. The internship offers an opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of a small educational non-profit organization with an emphasis on program administration. The position is ideal for someone interested in education or nonprofit administration or curriculum and PD development. We’re looking for someone who can confidently work independently on a range of projects and who enjoys detail-oriented tasks.

  • Target start date is early June 2021
  • Fully remote
  • 10 hours weekly, $18/hr
  • Supervised by program administrator

Responsibilities may include:

  • Auditing online resources across Primary Source platforms
  • Organizing and interpreting enrollment data
  • Supporting outreach efforts
  • Video editing and closed captioning
  • Some social media planning and content creation

Because this is designed to be a long-term position, there will also be the opportunity for interns to identify and work more in specific areas that interest them within our program.

Skills and qualifications:
Strong interest in K-12 education; alignment with Primary Source’s organizational values; ability to work independently in a remote environment; detail-oriented and intellectually curious; confidence and experience with Microsoft and Google office suites a plus; willingness and ability to learn new tech tools and skills.
