What is a typical day like for you?
On a great day, I spend time in one of our programs learning about the world, meeting dynamic teachers, and being awed by our tremendous staff. I also get to talk with donors, foundations, and school partners who share my passion for high-quality education.

Tell us about your background and what brought you to Primary Source.
My fervent belief that all children deserve a high quality, challenging, and enriching education led me to Primary Source. I had previously worked in education for many years including launching a school in Rwanda, teaching middle school students in Boston, helping a charter school network expand, and coaching school leaders to launch high performing schools in Indonesia and South Africa, and it was very clear to me that great teachers create great schools. Being able to work for an organization that provides teachers with professional development that enriches their students’ understanding of themselves and the world and provides them with the skills they need to be active, informed, engaged global citizens was an opportunity I could not pass up.

I earned a B.A. from University of New Hampshire and a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

What inspires you to do this work?
When a student is inspired by their teachers it can vastly alter their life path, their purpose, their connection with the world. Primary Source often serves as a source of inspiration to those very teachers. Each day I work so that the bounty and complexity of our world is accessible to every teacher and, in turn, every student.

Where in the world would you most like to visit?
I would love to visit the Middle East. After having the opportunity to learn so much about the region from our courses and podcast, I now need to find time to visit.
