Stephanie grew up in Texas where she completed her BA in Sociology from Texas Tech University. As part of her degree, she studied abroad in Australia where she became curious about the differing educational systems between the United States and other countries. She moved to Boston in 2010 where her interest in education led her to pursue a position with Education Development Center (EDC), Inc. Her work at EDC centered on helping special education teachers connect with other schools nationwide in order to understand best practices. Her continued interest in education and international issues led her to obtain an MA in International Development and Social Change from Clark University. During her studies, Stephanie conducted research on the role of agency within the classroom, as well as on refugee integration in the Worcester (MA) Public Schools. Her strong desire to continue working with education and culture led her to Primary Source. In her free time, Stephanie loves travelling and experiencing new cultures, as well as reading and dancing.
