Where does LGBTQ history start? Certainly not at Stonewall, and yet this event has become the default starting point for understanding the multitude of experiences and social campaigns within this coalition. Join Dr. Timothy Patrick McCarthy, Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Harvard Kennedy School, for a virtual class that takes LGBTQ history and literature beyond Stonewall by exploring the events and literature of the LGBTQ community through diverse sources, works and time periods. After independently engaging with an archive of curated resources about LGBTQ history and literature we will convene for a live lecture and discussion with Dr. McCarthy.

Especially for educators of grades 6-12.
