From the Executive Director

Dear Friends,

Julia de la TorreAfter nearly 5 years of serving as Primary Source's Executive Director and 9 years with the organization, I will be leaving my position as of June 1, 2015. I have accepted an exciting personal and professional opportunity in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as the new Head of Upper School for the Greenhills School.

This was not an easy decision, as I view the Primary Source staff, Board, and community as an extension of my own family. I have been proud to lead Primary Source through a pivotal quarter century milestone, and I am confident that the organization is positioned to achieve great heights in its future. Since 2010, we have expanded online learning to reach teachers around the country; we have grown our resources and curriculum, so that more educators are equipped to teach with a global mindset; and we have developed new and exciting ways to work with schools and districts to advance their global education goals. I have been fortunate to work with the most committed, hardworking, and visionary colleagues, making every day I have had at Primary Source a privilege and an honor.

All of you—our supporters, partners, colleagues, and friends—continue to make Primary Source the incredible organization that it is today, and I look forward to helping us transition into our next phase of growth. Although sad to leave the organization that I love so dearly, I am sure that Primary Source's future will be bright. I look forward to staying in touch with all of you and to watching with admiration as Primary Source continues to thrive.

With Appreciation,
Julia de la Torre
