Teaching About Japan, One Year After the Disaster

13 March 2012

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear crisis that devastated Japan, Primary Source was invited to be a guest blogger for The Learning Network, a New York Times blog that provides resources for teaching and learning with and about the news. Our guest post features New York Times news articles and multimedia resources, as well as articles and resources from several other international publications. Teachers will find classroom-friendly ideas for engaging students in reflecting on and understanding the March 11, 2011, tragedy, as well as gain access to additional resources created by Primary Source for teaching about the history and culture of Japan all year long.
